MprinT project (2021 – 2025)
- Investigate the shift from manuscriptto print culture in Islamic textual traditions along the Swahili coast ofEast Africa during the 19th and 20th centuries
- Collect and document data on themanuscript-to-print transition in the region
- Compare manuscript and printed textsto assess if print promoted a more 'global' Islam
